About George Handy Jr.
I was born into a prominent racing family, My dad has a 75 year reputation as a successful “leg man,” using herbs in our therapies. I spent my teens assisting and rehabbing injured Thoroughbreds on our farm. From early youth through college, I worked as a groom, exercise boy, and assistant trainer. My goal throughout, was to learn everything I could about “bleeding” and how to heal it.
My involvement with herbs began in 1963 with Golden Arrow, a horse I galloped and rubbed. He was a bad bleeder, but with nutritious herbs, he never bled again. Golden Arrow went on to win a record 57 races in a 16-year racing career. His name is engraved on a plaque in the Racing Hall of Fame in Saratoga.
Going on to pursue my dream of developing my own natural herbal remedies, I worked closely with acupuncturists, vets, and herbalists, and over the past 10 years, I have provided proven healing products to horsemen with difficult racing issues.
My father, George Handy Sr. and me.

Morning Blend #12
Morning Blend #12 is a nutritious early morning liquid supplement. Unlike grain, it is fully digested, even given minutes before hanging the bridle. Using Morning Blend #12 addresses ulcers, nervousness, inflammation, and lactic-acid build up. Trainers report longer strides in the final home stretch.
The key to success is that our ingredients are plant-based. Calcium that comes from a plant, such as Stinging Nettles, supplies nature’s highest available calcium, and is fully digested in the primitive equine gut. This ensures that horses develop strong bones and tissue.
Feeding grains such as oats, barley, and corn too close to exercise can make EIPH worse. This makes liquid Morning Blend #12 ideal for bleeders.
Acid-gut discomfort is reduced by using Aloe, Slippery Elm, Marshmallow Root and Chamomile. Trainers see dapples within two weeks after using the liver-cleansing herbs Milk Thistle, and Burdock.
Morning Blend #12 encourages weight gain, using organic peppermint, spearmint, stevia and licorice to make a horse “clean up” even when additional feed is offered. Additionally, Morning Blend #12 helps coat the stomach if Bute is orally administered.
How Morning Blend #12 Works
Morning Blend #12 includes natural anti-viral, anti-parasitic, and anti-bacterial ingredients. The ulcer-producing H-Pylori bacteria is addressed with no ill-effects on the organs.
Our product is convenient because it requires no digestion time before the bridle is hung. With Morning Blend #12 the horse is sent to the track, content without the stress of an acidic gut and undigested food.
After just a couple of days, using an oral syringe, horses will come running for its great taste, and will lap it from an empty feed tub.
